Persimmon Syrup

  • Cook time: 15 minutes
  • 1 pound persimmons, cubed (about 3 to 4)
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  1. Place all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer until the liquid reduces and becomes syrupy. Strain and funnel into a seal-tight glass bottle.
